Rice plants that lack the K nutrient have partially rotted roots, stunted plants, wilted/drooped leaves, edges, and old leaves tips like burning (leaves change color from yellowish/orange to brownish), which starts from the tips of the leaves and continues to spread to the leaf base, tillers are reduced, grain size and weight are reduced. Potassium-deficient plants are also more susceptible to pests and diseases and iron poisoning.

Plants experiencing nitrogen deficiency showed stunted and yellowing growth symptoms, smaller leaves than healthy plant leaves. The general sign of N deficiency in young plants is yellowing of the entire plant, while in older plants, the symptoms are noticeable on the lower (old) leaves, which are yellowish-green to yellow. In addition, the resulting tillers are reduced and flowering late, but the ripening process is faster so that the fertility is reduced.
Symptoms of phosphorus deficiency cause slow root growth, stunted plants, dark green leaves, and erect. Over time, the leaves turn purplish, few tillers, late or uneven flowering time, the planting age man/harvest is more prolonged, and the grain production is reduced. P has been identified as an essential nutrient for plant root health and increases plant resistance against iron poisoning. Source: Putra, R. (2018).
