Plants experiencing nitrogen deficiency showed stunted and yellowing growth symptoms, smaller leaves than healthy plant leaves. The general sign of N deficiency in young plants is yellowing of the entire plant, while in older plants, the symptoms are noticeable on the lower (old) leaves, which are yellowish-green to yellow. In addition, the resulting tillers are reduced and flowering late, but the ripening process is faster so that the fertility is reduced.
Rice plants that lack the K nutrient have partially rotted roots, stunted plants, wilted/drooped leaves, edges, and old leaves tips like burning (leaves change color from yellowish/orange to brownish), which starts from the tips of the leaves and continues to spread to the leaf base, tillers are reduced, grain size and weight are reduced.
