IPB Prima method of Rice cultivation techniques

IPB Prima is a package of IPB Prima Technology which is referred to as the “five pillars of high and sustainable productivity.” This technology package can increase rice productivity in line with the hope of the Minister of Agriculture to achieve food self-sufficiency in Indonesia. IPB Prima rice production technology This technology aims to support the national rice production program (surplus 10 million tons of rice/year) through the development of a pilot (show window) to achieve a minimum rice productivity of 8.2 tons/ha (area average). The IPB Prima Technology Package consists of:

• Land restoration with straw. Reuse of straw in agricultural land is an effort to reduce the use of chemical fertilizers, because straw can be used as organic fertilizer for the soil;
• The application of IPB-BIO, the use of useful decomposer bacteria to assist the decomposition of straw, the use of parasitic microbes, and the use of IPB Bio fertilizers;
• IPB-Best practice, is a special treatment carried out on seeds and agricultural land;
• The application of agricultural mechanization is an activity using appropriate agricultural tools and machines;
